Overview

A White Card is necessary for all construction work. This unit of competency is nationally recognised general construction induction training that is required for all construction work, entry to any construction site and it is also useful in a wide range of other industries. Learners are issued a SafeWork NSW White Card upon successful completion the course and the assessment.

Up completion learner will gain the necessary skills and will be able to:

  • Comply with mandatory Work Health and Safety laws
  • Identify construction hazards and risk control measures.
  • Assess and control the risks of the identified hazards
  • Follow procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies
  • Correctly select and fit common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work
  • Identify incident and emergency response procedures

Entry Requirements

No formal educational entry requirements are need for this training, however, you:

  • Will need to have language, literacy and numeracy skills (LLN) that allow you to read and interpret information and complete workplace forms. CORE College may conduct an LLN assessment using LLN Robot online platform as part of the pre-enrolment process.

Certification

Upon successful completion the CPCCWHS1001 training and the assessment, learners will be issued a Statement Training (SOT) is issued and is valid for 60 days. The final SafeWork NSW White Card will be posted to the students address within the 60 days.
