Your Rights as a Student:

  • Fair Treatment: You have the right to be treated fairly by all CORE College staff.
  • Safe Environment: You have the right to learn in an environment free from harassment and discrimination.
  • Access to Information: You have the right to receive comprehensive information prior to enrolment, including details about your chosen qualification, course fees, and the training and assessment process.
  • Privacy Protection: Your personal information will be kept confidential and in accordance with relevant privacy laws.
  • Supportive Learning: You have the right to study in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

 

Your Responsibilities as a Student:

  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Inform your Trainer/Assessor about any previous skills and knowledge relevant to your course.
  • Credit Transfer: Apply for Credit Transfer before commencing your training program, providing necessary documents.
  • Financial Obligations: Keep up to date with payment milestones for your qualification.
  • Academic Integrity: Ensure all assessment work is your own and properly referenced, avoiding plagiarism.
  • Attendance: Attend face-to-face training and assessment meetings as scheduled.
  • Communication: Maintain appropriate contact with trainers, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Timely Completion: Make reasonable efforts to complete assessments within specified timeframes.
  • Behavior: Demonstrate appropriate behavior when interacting with CORE College staff, employers, and fellow students.
  • Resource Management: Read and maintain supplied course resources.
  • Feedback: Discuss any concerns with a CORE College staff member promptly.
  • Submission of Evidence: Regularly submit assessment evidence for evaluation.
  • Document Management: Gather and retain documents and evidence requested by your Trainer/Assessor.
  • Sobriety: Refrain from being under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs during training and assessment processes.
