Overview

This a nationally recognised qualification which is highly regarded within the business environment and is a great starting point for a career in business services.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required for a variety of roles within a range of business services.  For example: administrative assistants who would be required to carry out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative and/or operational tasks.

This qualification is also suitable for roles that may require the individual to provide technical advice and support to a team and establish their own work performance.

When you have successfully completed the assessment tasks for the required units you will receive a nationally recognised qualification BSB30120 — Certificate III in Business. This qualification consists of 13 units — 6 core and 7 electives.

If successfully the assessment tasks for one or more of the above units but less than the full qualification you will receive a Statement of Attainment.

Entry Requirements

Although there are no entry requirements for this qualification, it is recommended that you have the necessary language, literacy and numeracy skills to commence the commence and to successfully complete the course.

To assist CORE College to identify any learning support requirements you will required to complete an LLN quiz via a link that will be e-mailed to you as part of the enrolment process.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL)

If you have completed studies previously and/or have acquired skills and knowledge that are covered in this qualification you are able to apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL) and/or credit transfer (CT). Duration & frequency

BSB30120 — Certificate III in Business is covered over 12 months and may be extended to 18 months should students need more time to complete assessment tasks.  

Assessment tasks take place throughout the duration of the course and are scheduled at the end of each unit.
Students will be required to allocate approximately 32.63 hours of study per week over 44 weeks to complete this course.

This includes approximately 16 hrs per week of attendance in-class to cover unit content. In addition, learners will be required to spend on approximately 9.31 hours per week on independent study and assessment preparation. 

Assessment is conducted at the end of each unit to be conducted in class and time has been allocated separately based on the requirements of each unit.

There are various commencement dates throughout the year and additional groups can be scheduled depending on student numbers.

Fees & charges

Adjustments are made to fees for part qualifications, recognition of prior learning (RPL) and credit transfer.

CORE College will advise you of the calculated student fee through way of a quote for your course, based on the information you provide to us and any additional charges for your training.

CORE College can provide a payment plan through various payment options. Full payment of the student fee must be made by the completion of the qualification.
